We respect that trust and want you to be aware of our commitment to protect the information you share over the course of doing business with us. On January 1, 2004 the Federal Personal Information Protection & Electronic Documents Act came into effect, and in 2018 GDPR came into effect. These Acts require that we protect the confidentiality of your personal information and obtain consent for any use of your personal information outside of that needed for carrying on our business.

WHAT PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT AND WHY WE COLLECT IT

In order to enable Zengar Institute Inc. to provide you with products and services, access to sensitive information is required. We rely on your implied consent for our staff to use this information in an appropriate manner for the following purposes. We may use / disclose this information in order to:

COMMENTS:
Some of our pages may contain a comments area.  When visitors leave comments in these areas we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

MEDIA:
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

CONTACT FORMS:
Throughout the site there are forms used to collect data for specialized purposes.  The data you enter into these forms are used for the purpose described on the parent page or on the header of each form.  For example, if you enter your information on the Find-a-Trainer page for listing, then we will access that information directly from the database to which you published it, should you qualify for listing.  If you fill in a form to learn more about our product, then that information is forwarded to our internal representative who enters the data in a secure Customer Relations Manager system and contacts the individual.

COOKIES:
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for a few days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

ANALYTICS:
We receive data from Google analytics.  This information provides us optics into the websites performance.

MARKETING:
We track our customers’ IP addresses to help tailor our marketing, promotion & customer experience, however these IP addresses are never stored and/or logged.

WHO WE SHARE YOUR DATA WITH

Any data collected on our visitors may be accessed by Zengar® personnel, or at times, incidentally by third party technical firms retained by Zengar® to perform website or data related housekeeping tasks, however we never share, trade or sell customer or visitor information with/to outside vendors.

We will provide your personal information for the purposes identified and to those you have authorized us to release the information to. Subject to legal and contractual obligations and restrictions, if you do not want your information shared please contact our office in writing so that your file can be properly noted. Zengar Institute Inc will maintain your personal information as accurate, complete and up-to-date as provided by you.

WE STRIVE TO PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION:
All employees and consultants, who are granted access to customer records understand the need to keep this information protected and confidential. They know they are to use the information only for the purposes intended. This expectation is clearly communicated in non-disclose agreements signed at the start of their tenure. We’ve also established physical and systems safeguards, along with the proper processes, to protect customer information from unauthorized access or use.

HOW LONG WE RETAIN YOUR DATA

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

WHAT RIGHTS YOU HAVE OVER YOUR DATA

As a valued customer, you have the right to access and correct your personal information.  If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. WHAT DATA BREACH PROCEDURES WE HAVE IN PLACE:
In the event of a data breach a top-level web security firm would be retained to evaluate what data may have been breached and who may have been affected.  We would then contact all persons whose data may have been breached.

WHAT AUTOMATED DECISION MAKING AND/OR PROFILING WE DO WITH USER DATA:
We use profiling technology to help customers view the products which they might be most interested in based on their shopping cart contents.  This process is automated.  From time to time we may also execute marketing campaigns that may be of particular interest to certain groups of customers.  Groups may be established by the customer’s order history.  If there were a special localized event, we may also filter customers by geographical area for promotional offers to the event.

EXTERNAL WEBSITES:
Other websites which you may link to from Zengar®’s NeurOptimal® website are not bound by the Zengar®’s Privacy Policy.
