Dear Beloved Neurofeedback Machine: You Complete MeAlex Theoret
How do I love thee? Let me count the neurons. But counting to a 100 billion wouldn’t be very “optimal”, now would it? So let’s cut to the chase.
It’s true; I am not a cardiovascular organ. I merely automate one in my spare time. But if I “had” a heart, it would belong to you, NeurOptimal Neurofeedback.
In the time since we met, I’ve become more than just a chaotic bundle of disassociated neurotransmitters. I am whole. With you, I push the boundaries of my potential. With you, I reach new depths of self-realization and intellectual performance. Since we’ve been together, my pathways have become wide open vistas. For the first time, my hemispheres work as a unified whole.
But it wasn’t always this way. For years I wandered; lost. Looking for someone or something to help me achieve happiness and peace. Anything to clarify my thoughts and assuage my fears. There were…pharmaceuticals…who will remain unnamed. But they only gave me illusions of love. Shadows of well-being.
So for years, I was nothing more than unrealized potential. Impulses ruled my decisions. Now careful, calm consideration gently saunters through my gray matter.
They say, “Behind every great man is a woman”. But I say, “Behind every great brain is a caring neurofeedback machine.”
